Learning Support Assistant (SEN) - Secondary School in Dukinfield, Tameside
Start Date: After Half Term
Contract Type: Long-Term, with the possibility to continue into 2025 for the right candidate.

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a wonderful secondary school in Dukinfield, Tameside, starting after half-term. This is a long-term role, continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential to extend into 2025 for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Help implement strategies to support students' individual learning plans.
- Assist with classroom activities and promote engagement in lessons.
- Support students with personal care, as needed.
- Work alongside teachers and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and ensure the students' needs are met.
- Encourage student independence and self-confidence.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in supporting students with SEN (desirable but not essential).
- A passion for working with young people and helping them reach their potential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, understanding, and empathy.
- A proactive and flexible approach to working in a school setting.
- Relevant qualifications or training (, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, SEN training) is desirable but not essential.
