Estio Training has an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Analyst Apprentice with Assa Abloy, a company based in the West Midlands.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
* Ensure I.T. services run at optimal levels, with minimal disruption or downtime.
* Ensure calls are resolved in a timely manner in order of prioritisation.
* To ensure company data and systems are secure.
* Ensure users are kept current and up to date with IT Technology.
Main Duties:
* Provide an excellent level of 1st line support to end users for any IT related issues as efficiently and effectively as possible.
* Answer calls, log and categorise incidents with detail and accuracy to an appropriate level. Ensure the process of escalating tickets is followed.
* Liaise with colleagues and external providers, escalating incidents to ensure acceptable fault resolution, whilst keeping user informed of call progress at all times.
* Deploying Windows operating systems with specified in-house software and applications
* Resolving hardware faults with multiple devices on-site such as PC’s/Laptops/Smartphones.
* Cable Management – under desk cabling, patching and power.
* New Starter set-ups and ordering of IT equipment.
* Software and Asset management.

* Must be able to have some skill of problem solving and understand basic troubleshooting methodology.
Qualifications:
* 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills Required:
* Knowledge of MS Operating systems Windows 10 – 11.
* Excellent knowledge of the standard applications in use such as MS Office, Adobe.
* Knowledge of Windows Server would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of virtualisation would also be an advantage.
* Knowledge of Basic TCP/IP & DNS would be an advantage.
Personal qualities:
* Ability to deal with multiple calls and work in a busy environment.
* Ability to communicate with users on all levels.
* Ability to be able to communicate and support users remotely over the phone including internationally.
* Must have the ability to learn fast and put your skills into practice.
* The ability to adapt to change and develop relevant skills is highly desirable.
* Must be able to work independently when needed.
Must be able to commute to our site in Willenhall – this will be your base

* Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
* Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
* Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
* Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
* Support the information systems needs for your business.
