Wood Process & Energy require a Principal Planner (PSC) to support a project with Centrica Storage Limited (CSL) on a 12 month contract.
The Role
You will prepare, review and report accurate project schedules and plans in support of the robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle.
Preparation and submission of project schedules and plans, ensuring schedules and plans are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards.
Supporting the management and development of the Planning team, the management of project schedules and plans, and the preparation and filing of project planning documentation. As a Principal Planner, you will act as the focal point for several project scopes.

5. Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience)
Knowledge, skills, and experience:
6. Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques including Logic and CPM analysis, resource loading and levelling
7. Proficient knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling
8. Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities
9. Ability to develop project schedules and plans
10. Ability to prepare resource loading, progress and staffing plans
11. Proficient understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses/trending and what-if scenarios
12. Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques
13. Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management
