Key Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this role is to identify to the Safety Authority any concerns regarding the safety of a product, or the application of policies and processes and to provide reliability analysis in support of products.
Role Responsibilities
1. To generate reliability artefacts required to support both the product safety argument and supportability engineering, such as Availability, Reliability & Maintainability Plans, Reliability predictions, Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams & Reliability Growth Analysis.
2. To support reliability analysis for new products and highlight areas of concern that require reliability growth:
3. Point of contact for reliability queries
4. To generate safety artefacts required to support the product safety argument, such as Safety & Environmental Management Plans, Hazard Logs and Safety & Environmental Case Reports.
5. To facilitate appropriate hazard/risk identification including functional failure analysis, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Fault & Event Tree Analysis.
6. To develop product safety & reliability requirements.
7. To support Project Design Authorities in achieving compliance with Legislation, Regulations and Standards applicable to the product(s).
8. To assist in generating reasonable bid estimates
9. To peer review product safety-related and reliability artefacts generated by others in the team.
10. Ability to manage multiple safety & reliability programmes, including scheduling and interacting with stakeholders.
Skills
11. Experience in the implementation and delivery of Product and System Safety and/or Reliability Engineering activities is highly desirable.
12. Ability to build positive and effective relationships with stakeholders, including team members and customers.
13. Attention to detail.
14. Willingness to share knowledge, develop others and learn
