Theatre Equipment Coordinator Band 4 - hours per week
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, dynamic individual to be a part of a new innovative role within the Theatre Department, working along side a Multidisciplinary Team including the Theatre Team, Procurement, MESD and external agencies to deliver a cohesive approach to equipment management
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary pre, peri and post-operative team, practicing a high standard of clinical care to provide a high quality, safe and supportive environment to care for patients identified care needs. The Theatre Department has a requirement for 24/7 cover, the post holder will work flexibly alongside team members to meet the needs of the service and will be expected to participate fully in the r
1. To assist Registered Practitioners in the delivery of patient care in Theatres and provide skilled assistance to the multi-disciplinary team.
2. To support Registered Practitioners across the broad range of duties in the pre, peri and post-operative phases in Theatres.
3. To circulate for a Trust defined scope of operative procedures (disciplines offered by the Trust).
4. Once assessed as clinically competent perform sole circulating duties in Emergency Theatres out of hours (lates, nights, weekends, and bank holidays).
5. To maintain own personal development with support from the departmental manager.
In order to undertake day-to-day routine duties, the post holder is required to use various items of equipment and have the knowledge and skills to store and maintain simple and highly complex / expensive pieces of equipment. In addition, the post holder will have the ability to set up / test and use the equipment in line with local policies where appropriate.
