The successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to join our Supplier Management and Procurement team located in the United Kingdom. This team supports multiple Boeing Global Services - Commercial (BGS-C) businesses in Maintenance, Repairs, and Overhauls in a fast-paced global environment. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of our Supply Chain including our policies and procedures as well as the systems and tools which we utilize to execute procurements on behalf of our customers. This candidate will also be responsible to support development and expansion of an agile and responsive supply base with rapid response lead times required to support the BGS business in a competitive and global market place.
You will need strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills to build and enhance relationships with internal stakeholders and key external suppliers.
This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for contracting, placing orders, and many other supplier-related activities including the authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
Responsibilities
The Procurement Agent will be responsible for all aspects of supplier management and project management supporting Boeing Global Services Modification Programs.
You will act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility to commit company resources through contracts and agreements for the procurement of goods and services.
Oversee all supplier related activities, interpret and enforce contract terms and conditions.
Document procurement decisions, create contract correspondence and issue/administer contract changes.
You will ensure compliance with all relevant Boeing procedures and contract requirements.
1. Leads and manages supplier performance and relationships to ensure delivery and quality for parts in support of aircraft modification programs for both SFE and BFE suppliers.
2. Collaborates with supplier counterparts and integrates supplier visibility systems with Boeing standards. Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.
3. Coordinates with the program business counterparts, engineering and technical stakeholders, production supplier management teams and the Modification Services proposal board to ensure customer requirements are satisfied and strategies are integrated into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies. Leads Supplier Management representation in meetings such as Program Reviews, ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI, Proposal Boards and other meetings.
4. Develops and executes company strategic business goals and objectives, procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements.
5. Provides customer support in identification of BOM requirements and what is required from Boeing, focused on affordability; work closely with Business Development teams to identify new supplier sources to satisfy business unit and customer requirements.
6. Leads source selection and negotiations for contractual pricing, terms and conditions for products and services. Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements. Manage supplier agreements in support requirements for modification programs with emphasis on new parts procurement and used serviceable partsReview of BGS Modifications Contract extension requests and negotiates favourable terms to extend Modifications strategyLeverage BGS and BCA Contracts for best pricing, terms, and supplier supportProcurement of parts and materials for modifications, repairs and maintenance activities
7. Leads supplier assessments and the development of recovery, corrective and preventative action plans.
8. Leads development and execution of Quality and Delivery Improvement Plans.
9. Manages supplier performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance. Mitigates risks and issues.
10. Communicates supplier and organization performance plan risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders and support executive level meetings.
Required Skills:
11. Outstanding knowledge of Procurement processes as well as demonstrated ability to engage with leadership successfully
12. Demonstrated strong skills in developing supplier strategies, problem solving, verbal and written communication and experience with leading team activities
13. Performs work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment
14. Experience in negotiating complex, high value contracts
15. Outstanding knowledge of Procurement processes as well as demonstrated ability to engage with leadership successfully
Desirable Skills / Experience:
16. Previous experience working in aviation/aerospace company
17. Knowledge of aircraft modifications/conversions
