Hours:
1. Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
2. Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
3. Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
4. Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: £85 - £100 PAYE per day
Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs? Do you have a strong background in English and a desire to help learners build confidence and achieve academic success? We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant with a specialism in English to join our supportive and dynamic team. Our provision supports Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 pupils, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where young people can thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide targeted 1:1 and small group English support across KS1 to KS5.
2. Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, focusing on English language and literacy development.
3. Help pupils develop self-confidence and engage positively in their learning.
4. Support the social and emotional development of pupils in a nurturing and structured environment.
5. Offer classroom management assistance and maintain positive learning environments.
6. Work closely with teaching staff to monitor progress and tailor interventions.
Essential Requirements:
1. At least an A-Level qualification in English (Degree in English or a related subject is highly desirable).
2. Previous experience working in an educational setting (preferably with SEMH learners).
3. Passion for working with young people with additional needs.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
5. Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
