The Role:
As a Humanities Teacher, you will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students and promote a love for subjects like RE, History, or Geography. You will play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality learning experiences, building positive relationships with staff and students, and maintaining a supportive and safe classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic, engaging Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4 (RE, History, or Geography).
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Humanities curriculum and effectively plan lessons that cater to a range of learning styles.
- Follow school policies regarding safeguarding and behaviour to ensure a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff, creating a collaborative and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Provide ongoing assessments and feedback to track students' progress and support their development.
What We're Looking For:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS.
- Experience teaching Humanities (RE, History, or Geography) in UK secondary schools.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the update service (or be willing to complete a new DBS).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
