The Position
As a Business Support Assistant at Acturis, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing a professional and welcoming meet-and-greet service
* Being the first point of contact at reception and handling telephone inquiries, providing information, and directing calls as necessary
* Handling bookings for lunches, hotels, taxis, and couriers
* Preparing and posting company correspondence and documents
* Responding to colleagues' requests from the Birmingham office
* Maintaining contact and a professional relationship with building management
* Resolving issues related to facilities, supplies, and office equipment efficiently
* Monitoring and recording monthly meter readings accurately
* Monitoring office supplies and managing stationery and catering needs
* Overseeing the cleaning team and reporting any health and safety concerns
* Completing annual clean desk audits
* Supporting recruitment activities, including booking interviews and coordinating with recruiters
* Facilitating a smooth onboarding process with the People Operations team
* Supporting colleagues with ad hoc office tasks or operational activities
* Organizing social events for the Birmingham office
* Tracking and maintaining budgets for social initiatives
* Identifying improvements in current working processes to enhance team efficiency
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for the role of Business Support Assistant at Acturis will possess:
* A 2:2 degree or higher and strong A-level results
* Strong problem-solving skills; a fast learner eager to expand knowledge and capabilities
* Self-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Confidence, proactivity, and responsibility-taking attitude
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
* A positive, can-do attitude
