Primary Production Scientist
Location: Alva, Clackmannanshire - FK12 5DQ
Salary: £23,877 - £28,011 DOE plus benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours Alternate weeks: Week 1: 8 am - 5 pm Monday to Thursday; 8 am - 3.30 pm Friday. Week 2: 8 am - 5 pm Monday to Thursday
AccuBio Ltd. (manufacturers of In vitro Medical Devices) are currently recruiting for a Primary Production Scientist to join our Primary Production team.
Primary Production Scientist - Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will have main responsibilities in manufacturing and in-process testing of the reagents and component parts of medical devices, and the attendant completion of batch records, routine monitoring and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with current expectations of ISO13485: 2016 and principles of Good Manufacturing Practice.
Responsibilities:
Main Areas:
Manufacture of medical device reagents and components to strict quality standards and in line with planned manufacturing timelines and KPIs
In-process testing of components to ensure compliance with defined parameters at all stages of manufacturing
Operation, cleaning and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment associated with product manufacturing
Completion of batch manufacturing records and associated documentation to the appropriate standard, in compliance with ISO13485 and GMP
Routine monitoring of equipment and production laboratories to ensure compliance with defined parameters and escalation of any issues arising from this
Assist in investigations of out of specification results or product failures
Maintain compliance with QMS policies and procedures
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as required
Primary Production Scientist - Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and preferably have at least 1 years' experience within a GMP based medical device manufacturing environment, or similar industry.
Essential:
A relevant degree or equivalent qualification, plus relevant work experience
Excellent organisational skills
Clear written and spoken communication skills
Effective time management and prioritisation skills
Attention to detail with a thorough and methodical approach to work.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and demonstrate flexibility
Proactive and able to work effectively independently or within a team
Desirable:
Appropriate experience in a medical device or similarly regulated industry
