This is a permanent role based on-site in Melbourne, Victoria. We regret that applications can only be considered for Australian Citizens and permanent residents residing in Australia.
Based in Melbourne and reporting to the General Manager APAC, this position will undertake HR functions for APAC (Australia and Thailand), working closely with leaders in Melbourne and Perth while supporting a workforce of around 100 employees. You'll hold primary responsibility for the delivery of HR operations along with overseeing the office coordination functions for the 2 Australian offices. This is a hands-on role for an experienced HR generalist, suited to an individual who is happy to take responsibility for the complete employee lifecycle and contribute to regional people initiatives.
What will you be responsible for?
1. Undertake all HR functions required at a regional level, including overseeing recruitment.
2. Implement strategies to deliver a positive and responsive employee experience, including managing the Office Coordinators within the region.
3. Contribute to the continuous development and review of regional people policies, systems, and procedures to reflect market best practice and legislative requirements.
4. Provide recommendations and support on regional HR projects, system enhancements, and organisational change.
5. Work closely with the GM APAC providing guidance on people-related matters.
6. Be a trusted advisor to regional Vix people leaders on all HR related initiatives and opportunities including org design, competency development, and performance management.
7. Deliver regular reports detailing people metrics to the GM HR.
8. Regularly communicate on leadership, workforce metrics and HR trends to the leadership team.
What does our ideal candidate look like?
1. Significant experience in Human Resources positions, with a depth of experience in generalist HR roles.
2. Knowledge of the Fair Work Act and associated Australian employment legislation.
3. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence all levels.
4. Good understanding of business needs and aligning people to business goals.
5. Experience coaching and developing team members and working with leaders to execute their people priorities.
6. Commercial acumen and understanding of drivers surrounding people decisions.
7. Ability to thrive in fast paced and ambiguous environments meaning you have a can-do attitude, coupled with successful experience in developing and delivering people projects.
8. Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, make the best use of limited resources.
9. Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
11. Have a successful track record in change management and experience in HR business partnering.
12. A collaborative style with the ability to partner with leaders to build high functioning teams.
