This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, innovative and creative manager to lead the on-going development of Solihull’s Adult Disability Team. The team are based in central Solihull and support adults with a learning disability, physical disability and/or autism. You will be part of a highly experienced and dedicated team delivering effective supervision and leadership to embed a strengths-based model of assessment and support, promoting independence and well-being and achieving better outcomes for people, carers and their families. As the Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing our dedicated team of professionals. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for both staff and the people we support. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of learning disabilities, physical disabilities and autism and a passion for community-based support. The team works closely with health partners to ensure a holistic approach to supporting people, including reducing inequalities of people with a Learning Disability and reducing hospital admissions. You will: have a relevant degree or equivalent and significant experience in an Adult Care and Support service; be able to lead, support, mentor and develop a large team of Adult Social Care professionals; build positive relationships with people from a variety of roles across the health and social care economy; embed a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring positive and high-quality practice is observed A management qualification or other post qualifying awards would be of an advantage. Above all you will need to evidence your passion for supporting people with care and support needs, partnership working and the ability to work in an innovative way.
