Description The purpose of this position is to spread the message of the restored Church of Jesus Christ around the world. This is a specialised project management role that manages localisation work across various multi- media product types on behalf of all Church Departments in the Area. Product types may include websites, social media content, digital media content, videos, audio recordings, publications, training materials, live events, etc. Responsibilities Intake of translation and interpretation requests Scopes and costs translation and interpretation projects Creates translation and interpretation orders Liaises between Area departments and Area translation staff Cooperates with other Communication and Publishing Department staff members concerning localisation elements of publishing and communication products: Translation, language production, interpretation Delivers completed products to customers Cooperates with Localisation Project Management Group at Church Headquartes on global Church products Other duties as assigned by the Area Translation Manager Qualifications Strong commitment to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its mission. Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 5 years of work experience in one or more of the following: translation, interpretation, localisation project management, or related field. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience for a total of 9 years. Excellent verbal and written English skills. Proficiency in a second language is highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully across language and cultural boundaries. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in industry standard project and translation management tools. Passion for high levels of customer service. Advance knowledge of standard information processing and publishing tools. Attention to detail and strong reporting and presentation skills (MS Excel, MS Power Point, etc.).
