Key Responsibilities:
Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities may include:
* Purchasing: Sourcing and procuring goods and services to meet company requirements, ensuring value for money and quality.
* Supplier Management: Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, resolving issues, and ensuring reliable delivery.
* Contract Negotiation: Negotiating terms and agreements with suppliers to secure cost savings and compliance with company standards.
* Order Expediting: Monitoring purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and addressing delays or discrepancies.
* Logistics Coordination: Supporting the flow of goods from suppliers to the company, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
* For junior candidates: A strong interest in procurement or supply chain, with transferable skills such as organisation, communication, and attention to detail. Experience in a buying or procurement role is desirable but not essential.
* For experienced candidates: Proven experience as a Buyer, preferably within the medical, healthcare, or a related sector, with strong negotiation skills and a track record of managing supplier relationships.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers effectively.
* An interest in logistics and supply chain management is advantageous.
