Salary & Benefits: Salary range £28,875 - £33,875 per annum depending on experience, company car (through a contributory company car lease scheme), annual bonus, attractive pension scheme Up to 10% (rising to 12% from Apr 2025) company contribution, life assurance cover of 4 times pensionable salary and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a wellness day and development opportunities in line with the Graduate Development Programme.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate position in the Engineering team at Yorkshire Water.

THE ROLE:
The Graduate Programme is a two-year programme offering five structured placements within your business area, with selective placements in other areas, including core functions such as Finance, Health & Safety, People, and Procurement.
The variety within the programme will see you working across our business and undertaking activities alongside your colleagues to meet industry challenges, from achieving net zero carbon emissions to planning for drought or flood events. The Engineering function covers connected yet discrete areas, providing opportunities to work on innovation, championing nature-based solutions, and contributing to strategies central to Yorkshire Water's vision.
As a Graduate Engineer, you will:
* Inspect & survey assets to quantify asset health and performance
* Investigate and understand the root cause of business risks
* Quantify risk and assess regulatory compliance
* Identify and promote opportunities for targeted capital investment
* Identify safety/environmental hazards and support engineering design processes
* Develop standard products, technical specifications, and improve working procedures
* Identify and implement asset improvements that enhance security and performance
* Validate that assets are constructed to accepted designs and standards
* Monitor asset health/performance and intervene to improve safety and environmental protection
We recognise that each graduate will have different needs and ambitions. Our programme is designed to meet those individual needs, providing a balanced development programme throughout your two years with support from Sponsoring Managers, Graduate Champions, and Mentors.
We actively support all engineering graduates in their Path to IEng and C.Eng accreditation.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 2:1 M.Eng or B.Eng degree in the relevant Engineering discipline
* Full, Clean UK driving licence
* Enthusiasm and a drive to succeed
