The Opportunity: Service Controller

We are part of The Briggs Equipment Group who are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. The Impact you will have:
* Follow company Health and Safety guidelines at all times, ensuring the safety of colleagues and customers.
* Deliver industry-leading business performance to exceed regional targets. Ensure relevant authorities are obtained prior to starting chargeable work.
* Provide Saturday morning telephone cover (Rota).
* Maintain effective communication, keeping all relevant parties informed and managing expectations.
* Prioritise and schedule all work activities to meet customer expectations in accordance with the Company’s contractual requirements and KPIs. Forward plan resources within the team for all priority Vehicle Off Road, Non-Vehicle Off Road, Urgent Estimates, and liaise with third-party service providers for specialist assistance.
* Control and monitor work in progress, ensuring jobs are completed in the field in a timely manner and invoiced when completed in line with department KPIs.
* Take ownership and complete urgent estimates (Asset VOR) within 12 working hours, including following up for acceptance.
* Manage supplier performance in accordance with agreed SLAs and escalate issues as appropriate.
* Promote a team working ethic and provide support to cover colleagues as necessary.
* Answer calls in line with agreed KPIs.
* Effectively problem solve and take ownership of issues to resolution.
* Support compliance activity when required.
* Support the service management team, including but not limited to, opening and closing the building and arranging weekend rotas.
* Monitor and manage out-of-hours activity when required by Tarmac.
* Support the training of new team members.
* Optimize business opportunities to generate additional revenue.
* Undertake any reasonable task requested by a Regional Line Manager.

* Evidence of commitment to continual professional and personal development.
* Qualified Plant Engineer – OEM trained.
* Ability to communicate convincingly both orally and in writing to all levels.
* Significant numerical competency.
* Experience in organizing and prioritizing a demanding workload.
* Ability to engage with customers.
* Demonstrable IT skills, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
* Ability to influence and persuade.
