Our client, who are Worldwide logistic experts, are looking for an Experienced Team Leader to join their growing team. If you have a passion for Time critical operations within third party logistics, this position is perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for supervision of people and processes in our premium Airfreight sector, covering Time-Critical air-charters, OBC/Hand Carry, NFO/Express airfreight.
2. Full P&L ownership of this premium product sector.
3. Ensure continuous flow of our customers supply-chain.
4. First point of contact for all strategic customers premium airfreight requirements.
5. Procurement of all premium airfreight and pricing solutions to strategic customers.
6. Drive the Customer Experience/Customer First concept with high-levels of precise communications.
7. E2E ownership and management of all premium airfreight shipments, ensuring time-critical timestamps are measured and delivered upon.
8. Devise sustainable, corrective actions from customer feedback and/or complaints.
9. Fully understand each strategic customer's Time-Critical air requirements.
10. Develop a sustainable carrier network, ensuring adequate and alternate solution offerings at all times.
11. Retention of current business and supporting successful implementation of new.
12. Lead by example to promote and sustain our healthy work-culture within the departments.
13. Manage individual team-members job-performance, covering appraisals and 1:1's.
14. Occasional EU and UK travel when required.
Skills:
1. Ability to react to challenging, time-sensitive situations and provide alternate logistic solutions.
2. Excellent all-round knowledge of Airfreight Time-Critical products.
3. Excellent Air-Charter and Premium Airfreight pricing skills, ensuring highly-competitive, winning quotations (Critical requirement).
4. Strong negotiating skills (Carriers and Customers).
5. Good understanding of/and possessing necessary network of carriers and product offerings in air-charters and On-Board Courier (OBC) processes.
6. Good understanding of customs processes and HMRC compliance.
7. Understanding of Incoterms 2020.
8. Sound geographical knowledge of Europe.
9. Excellent analytical, problem solving skills.
10. Ability to prioritise workload and delegate where necessary.
Experience:
1. Proven success in similar role.
2. Good understanding of “First & Last Mile” time-critical potential supply-chain disruptors and the ability to resolve (Ground Handlers, Flight Permits, C&D etc).
3. Proven experience of having mitigated customer production-line stoppages.
4. Experience of operations TMS.
5. Key Time-Stamps tracking updates.
