Senior Systems Application Engineer HCM / Financials x 2 roles
Are you an experienced Systems Application Engineer with a passion for HCM or Financials?
We are looking for two people: one focused on HCM and the other on Financials.
Our client is building a multi-technology, multi-vendor shared services centre to deliver modern SaaS-enabled services to their growing client base. As part of their Enterprise Applications team, you will be immersed in innovative projects that span from upgrading legacy systems to implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions.
What Youll Do
As a Senior Systems Application Engineer, you will work closely with clients, third-party suppliers, and system integrators (SIs) to deliver impactful solutions in HCM or Financials. Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with the Programme Team and SIs to replace, upgrade, and improve people and system processes in the areas of HCM and/or Financials.
* Leading workshops, providing expertise, and guiding technical, architectural, and design solutions.
* Documenting system requirements, enhancements, and regulatory changes with a high degree of accuracy.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication across teams.
* Supporting testing activities, tracking issues, and driving resolution to ensure smooth system implementations.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of business processes, sharing insights and best practices.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a strong background in Workday Cloud or ERP systems - HCM, Payroll, Finance, Workforce Planning, and Analytics.
* A proven ability to coordinate work across diverse teams and build strong, professional relationships.
* Experience documenting requirements and functional specifications for system enhancements.
* Experience working in a formal Agile environment and with ITSM tools.
* Test development experience.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Experience with Oracle ERP (e-Business or Fusion) and data migration activities.
* Background from a shared service environment.
* Experience as a team lead for small projects or system implementations.
* Knowledge of PL/SQL, JavaScript, and BI Publisher or similar.
* Familiarity with integration tools such as PenServer and HMRC.
* Understanding of project delivery methodologies like Prince2, SAFe, and Agile, and proprietary products such as Jira and ServiceNow.
