We are hiring an Area Supervisor on behalf of our client who are specialists in the provision of heating services and multi-trade contracts across the Northeast of Scotland with a proven track record of success.
They are poised for significant growth and are seeking a strategic and experienced professional to join their team as an Area Supervisor covering Gas and Renewables.
This is a key role with exposure to leadership that will contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
Role Overview:
The Area Supervisor will oversee operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency, safety, compliance, and profitability while supporting the transition to sustainable energy solutions.
This role will be a mixture of office and field base, therefore the suitable candidate will receive the benefit of a flexible working environment. Our office is based in Keith.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. Reporting and assisting the Contracts Manager with the day to day running of Gas and Renewable department.
2. Supervise daily operations within the assigned area, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
3. Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency.
4. Monitoring/organising engineers workloads alongside the planning department.
5. Providing technical assistance requested by engineers and the planning department.
6. Assisting with engineer training/toolbox talks.
7. Monitoring engineer absence and carrying out return to work interviews.
8. Approving engineers holidays.
9. Liaising with customers and clients via phone and email.
10. Creating engineer workplans to assist planning department.
11. Approving Engineer Timesheets.
12. Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving operational processes and team performance.
Qualifications:
1. ACS Qualified
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
1. Proven experience in similar role would be preferable however we are open to training/upskilling candidates who we feel would be suitable.
2. Approachable.
3. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and manage a team.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with team members and management.
5. Ability to lead by example, demonstrating commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
6. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to operations management is advantageous.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
