Product Manager Job Description About Jaja Jaja is a consumer finance business, launching its first product, a digital credit card, in 2018. Since then it has grown rapidly, completed the acquisition of a multi-£000m credit card portfolio and launched a significant partnership with the UK supermarket giant Asda. Jaja became one of the first UK fintechs to launch a GenAI chat assistant using Anthropic’s state-of-the-art Claude 3 model family, which it has now upgraded to Anthropic’s more advanced language model, Claude 3.5. Known as Airi, the GenAI chat assistant focuses on complete accuracy in customer chat responses and understanding the reasons why conversations end to determine the next steps required in business processes. The AI Product Manager will be responsible for improving Airi’s capabilities as well as moving Jaja along its AI journey to design and deliver new and exciting AI powered products and services. Role Overview As the Product Manager for Jaja, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the AI strategy for our business. You will work cross-functionally with data science, engineering, product, analytics and customer support teams to ensure AI technologies are successfully integrated and adopted across the business. You will also be responsible for partnering with our Customer Support teams to continue enhancing our generative AI chatbot, Airi, ensuring it continues to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong product management skills in order to shape your domain. Key Responsibilities AI Strategy Development: Help define and lead the company’s AI strategy, with a focus on applying AI solutions to enhance different business areas. Productising AI Technology: Work with internal teams to productise and scale existing AI technologies for broader adoption across the organisation. Develop an AI product strategy based on capabilities needed to meet customer and business needs. Airi Chatbot Enhancement: Continuously improve Airi, our generative AI chatbot, by enhancing its capabilities, performance, and user experience based on data-driven insights. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with data science, engineering, customer support and other teams to ensure successful AI integration into various products and services. Roadmap and Prioritisation: Develop and manage the AI product roadmap, prioritising features, updates, and new initiatives based on business needs and customer feedback. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate AI product vision, progress, and results to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals. Market and Industry Analysis: Stay up-to-date with AI trends, innovations, and regulatory developments, especially in the financial services and credit card sectors. Performance Tracking: Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of AI initiatives, including customer satisfaction, operational efficiencies, and business outcomes. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure AI products and features comply with relevant regulations and data protection standards. You could be a good fit if you: Proven experience in product management, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or data-driven products, ideally in the FinTech or financial services industry. Strong understanding of AI technologies, including natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), and generative AI. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including data science, engineering, and customer support, to deliver AI-driven solutions. Demonstrated ability to manage and scale AI products or technologies within a business environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. May have some experience in software development with a focus on AI and prompt engineering on LLMs- even if it’s just playing around with your own project. Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, particularly in the context of LLMs/conversational AI. Experience with A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality products. Knowledge of credit card products and the broader financial services landscape is a plus. Experience with AI chatbot platforms and tools is highly desirable.
