Job Description
We are Lyons Holidays Parks, family owned for 100 years! We welcome over 9,000 families to North & West Wales and Cumbria each year across our twenty holiday parks, luxury hotels and restaurants. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shop Managerto join our team atLyons Holiday Parks. This permanent role involves managing a team, visual merchandising, ensuring the shop's profitability and enhancing the overall shopping experience for our owners and holiday park guests.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Opening and closing of the shop – cashing up at the end of day. Checking floats daily and arranging change requests with the accounts team on-site.
* Collating and ordering weekly/daily stock. Ensuring stock rotation, making sure sell by dates are checked on a regular basis.
* Identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
* Training and motivating colleagues to ensure that the required standards are maintained. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Monitoring and controlling quality products, standards of presentation and minimising wastage.
* Ensuring compliance with all health and safety, hygiene regulations and ensuring that company policies are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience of management in a retail establishment
* Food Hygiene Level 3 (desirable but training can be given)
* A commitment to customer service, food hygiene, and health and safety
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
* An ability to work/remain calm under pressure
* Knowledge of stock management and merchandising techniques
* An organised approach, able to prioritise tasks as necessary
