Job Title: Project Accountant
Location: Gloucester preferably but can consider Leeds or London with occasional travel to other sites.

What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Senior Project Accountant, as part of the Digital Intelligence (DI) Project Finance team, this role offers extensive experience in Project Accounting through the whole project lifecycle.
Key deliverables to include:
* Deliver outputs of project accounting financial processes, including:
o Project setup and structure based on performance obligations (IFRS15)
o Order book reporting
o Project trading and month end
o Review and challenge of project forecasts
o Summary Status Reporting (SSR)/ Contract Status Reporting (CSR)
o Project closure and administration
o Attendance at Project Review Boards (PRBs) with an active contribution to the finance position
* Working Capital management
* Project analysis
* Supporting the budgeting / forecasting process
* Driving continuous improvement
* Gaining a strong understanding of the projects in the region in order to influence better project outcomes.
* Other ad hoc tasks as required
Your skills and experiences
Essential
* Part Qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or AAT
* Experience of financial IT systems and advanced Excel
* Ability to follow work instructions and prioritise workload to meet key deadlines
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to partner effectively with others both individually and as a team
* Willingness to learn and drive continuous improvement
Desirable
* Genuine Interest in what the business does and enthusiasm for working closely with the business stakeholders
* SAP, SAP BPC, Salesforce, Adaptive, Cognos experience would be beneficial
* Ensure end to end project accounting processes and key controls

This role supports Project Finance into the National Security & Government business area which has responsibility for delivering a portfolio of c.500 contracts, ranging in size from £100k – £100m. Working at the heart of our customers’ core mission, National Security is responsible for managing our most sensitive UK clients and deliveries, and DI has over 40 years' experience of delivering advice and solutions to our customers in this sector, supporting them in carrying out their vital missions.
