Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within the Respiratory and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Outpatient Teams for a Band 4 physiotherapy assistant. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, compassionate team member to work across both our dynamic and forward thinking teams.
The post will spread across Leamington Rehab Hospital and Stratford Hospital. The physio teams comprise of Specialist Respiratory and Pelvic Health Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy assistant.
The successful candidate will be given responsibility to support a variety of rehab and education classes, manage a caseload of appropriate patients with autonomy and guidance from qualified physiotherapists.
This role comprises of both clinical and admin responsibilities.
Previous experience in a Healthcare setting is essential.
South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust has a commitment to providing a seven day service and therefore there is a requirement to undertake weekend working.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Assistant Practitioner is to deliver a high quality, caring and compassionate patient care. The post holder will be undertake assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care needs for a defined group of patients under the indirect supervision of a registered professional in their specialist area. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.

To ensure attendance at mandatory training sessions infection control, resuscitation and moving and handling training.
To complete the Trusts Clinical Support Worker Induction programme.
To successfully complete the Care Certificate within 12 weeks of commencing employment.

As a competent practitioner, teach and provide supervision to appropriate junior staff.
To participate in and undertake appropriate training and development activities including IT and clinical skills.

1. Obtained an educational level of GCSE level A - C English and Maths or equivalent
