Reference: 290973e7 To provide support for a 10-year-old boy who has a diagnosis of Extreme Short Bowel Syndrome and requires Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), which is intravenous nutritional feeding. MAIN DUTIES We are currently looking to recruit a Support Worker to enable this child to access age-appropriate leisure activities in the local community. He enjoys being outdoors but can tire quickly from physical activity and if overexerted may vomit and require immediate support. He enjoys doing crafts at home as well as playing board games and playing with his action figures. The successful applicant would need to be calm in stressful situations and will also be required to provide personal care. Full training will be provided for the Intravenous Nutritional Feeding (TPN). Hours 4 hours per week. Some flexibility around then this support takes place. Rate of pay: £13.09 per hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be met by the employer.
