Come to Cornwall! We have an exciting opportunity for an Anaesthetic Services and Blood Conservation Team Lead to join the team in the Operating Theatres and areas requiring anaesthetic and blood conservation support within RCHT.
An experienced senior anaesthetic nurse or Operating Department Practitioner is required to lead and develop the anaesthetic team and blood conservation service.
Supporting over 40 registered staff, the post holder will support the development of the existing services and staff.
We regularly support learners from multiple disciplines.
You will need to be a good leader, communicator, role model, and have excellent standards of practice.
Main Duties of the Job
The Anaesthetic Practitioner Team Lead - Blood Conservation will manage and support the design and implementation of a comprehensive, highly specialised multi-professional blood conservation service in a wide range of clinical areas.
Providing ongoing professional and clinical leadership to the theatre care teams who are delivering perioperative care.
The Anaesthetic Practitioner Team Lead - Blood Conservation will be expected to demonstrate clinical expertise and provide specialist knowledge which is transferable between acute clinical areas. Effective communication with all members of the multi-professional team and external agencies is a key part of this role.
To be a highly competent, knowledgeable, and visible practitioner setting the highest standards of care and ensuring the provision of excellent, evidence-based care for all patients/clients. To act as a role model and skilled practitioner to inspire excellence, constantly demonstrating the highest standards of care and professionalism.
To ensure the development of all staff within their team.
To represent their specialty and at times their division in corporate-wide forums, operational groups, and committees, providing an expert theatre contribution.
