Right 1st Time Recruitment are pleased to be the recruiter of choice for an established manufacturing group based in Newbridge on Wye and on their behalf we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis
Working alongside a team of Engineers, under the leadership of our Maintenance Team Leaders and Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for providing a prompt and responsive fault diagnosis and repair service throughout the sawmill.
Responsibilities of a Electrical Engineer include:
• Troubleshooting and testing equipment, controls, and software.
• Repairing Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electromechanical Machinery.
• Undertaking a variety of preventative and reactive maintenance duties.
• Identifying solutions that will improve systems efficiency and reduce costs.
About You
Alongside your solid background in electrical engineering, preferably gained within a manufacturing environment, you are confident in working alone or alongside a team. You’ll be technically minded and hold your work to a high level. In addition, you’ll have:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good understanding of computer-based systems and software.
• A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem solving skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a busy environment.
• Experience of PLC systems.
• Ideally hold C&G 17th or 18th Edition IEE Regulations qualifications (or equivalent).
In addition, we expect basic mechanical skills, plus a willingness to help drive the business forward by implementing new technology and systems.
Rosta and Pay
Standard rate up to £18.57
Week 1: Mon - Fri 2pm-10pm
Week 2: Mon – Fri 12: 6am-2pm, Sun 10pm – 6am
Week 3: Mon- Thurs 10 pm – 6am
Annual tool allowance up to £120.00
Overtime rates
Saturday up to 6 hours = 1.5, over 6 hours = Double
Sunday = Double
Overtime is only paid after core 40 hours worked.
