As part of our strategic group of engineers, the UI Software Architect will be a technical leader within the Darwin Software Engineering organisation, respected by peers and serving as a role model for other engineers. This role is based in London and is a hybrid position requiring at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:
1. Support a cluster of engineering squads focused on enhancing the Darwin UI, providing guidance and mentorship to engineers.
2. Oversee tactical plans to implement the Product ecosystem strategies set by the Darwin Lead Architect.
3. Be responsible for the underlying architecture of the Product Ecosystem, with a particular focus on the front end.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and technical requirements.
5. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on solution architecture, and conducting proof-of-concept projects.
6. Define and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and implement quality assurance processes.
7. Create comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible.
What you need to have:
1. Effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
2. A proven track record of designing scalable and high-performance UI architectures, with a deep understanding of software design principles and architectural best practices.
3. Experience with Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery approaches, including Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, and Infrastructure as Code.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of analysing complex technical challenges and proposing effective solutions.
5. The ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and lead cross-functional teams toward a common technical vision.
6. Extensive experience in Angular, .NET, Less (Sass), and gRPC.
7. Experience implementing solutions utilizing Full-Stack technologies (MEAN stack, C#, JSON, REST API).
8. Familiarity with middleware such as RabbitMQ, MSMQ, and MassTransit is desirable.
9. Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
10. Strong experience with ORM Frameworks, including TSQL and NoSQL databases like MSSQL and MongoDB.
11. Knowledge of SDLC processes and practices.
12. Experience designing and deploying applications on AWS.
