This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst remaining two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.
Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.
Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements. A discussion will be held with the successful candidate to confirm the details of location, salary, allowances and hours.

The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

Skills & Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum: GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent in English, and Maths
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
* Effective communication skills, written, verbal and telephone.
* Ability to understand and maintain client confidentiality and accurate record keeping.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise, manage workload and work to deadlines.
* Ability to assimilate and undertake technical tasks.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and achieve results.
* IT skills – conversant with Word, Excel etc.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
* Ability and willingness to travel to other sites within the organisation across Sussex and Surrey.
Please note that this role is a peripatetic role and requirement to travel to other sites will be required.
DESIRABLE
* OH Technician qualification or NVQ Level 2/3 in Health Care
* Current courses on spirometry / lung function testing, audiometry / hearing testing, vision screening
* Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
* Underlying knowledge of the principles of Health promotion and wellbeing.
