Job Title: Teacher of Maths
Location: Hull
Start Date: September 2024
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only, Fixed Term
Salary: £30000 – £46525 per annum. Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply.
About the School:
GSL Education is working with an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary School and Sixth Form in Hull, to appoint a full-time Teacher of Maths to start September 2024. The school is a vibrant and well-respected secondary school located in Hull.
Teacher of Maths Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our team, as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students across various year groups 7 to 12.
Key Responsibilities as a Teacher of Maths:
* To plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
* To differentiate teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
* To monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate academic growth.
* To collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental initiatives.
* To maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' enthusiasm for Mathematics.
As the ideal Teacher of Maths, you should have:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Minimum of 6 months UK Maths teaching experience or be an Early Career Teacher.
* Have a Degree in Maths or a related subject area.
* Be able to differentiate and scaffold lesson plans to suit the needs of all students.
* Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths.
* Have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
