The Quality Assurance leader will play a crucial role in maintaining product quality
and adherence to specifications within the injection moulding factory. This role
requires a keen eye for detail, strong knowledge of quality standards, and the
ability to perform thorough inspections of moulded parts throughout the production
process.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Testing:
1. Conduct visual inspections of moulded parts at various stages of production to
identify defects, irregularities, or deviations from specifications.
2. Perform dimensional and functional testing of moulded parts using precision
measuring instruments and testing equipment.
3. Ensure compliance with product specifications, customer requirements, and
quality standards, including visual appearance, dimensions, tolerances, and
performance characteristics.
4. Record inspection results and non-conformities accurately and promptly,
documenting findings in inspection reports or quality databases.
Documentation and Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, including inspection logs,
test results, and quality documentation.
2. Prepare and distribute inspection reports and quality metrics to production
supervisors, quality assurance managers, and other stakeholders as required.
Quality Improvement:
1. Identify trends or patterns in inspection results and non-conformities,
collaborating with production teams to address root causes and implement
corrective actions.
2. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including process optimization,
defect reduction, and continuous improvement projects.
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
1. Ensure compliance with relevant quality management standards, such as ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and regulatory standards. 2. Stay informed about industry best practices, quality trends, and emerging technologies related to injection moulding manufacturing. Communication and Collaboration: 1. Communicate effectively with production operators, supervisors, and quality assurance team members to address quality issues, provide feedback, and facilitate resolution of quality-related concerns. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and customer service, to ensure alignment on quality objectives and requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality inspection
roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in injection moulding or
plastics manufacturing.
2. Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques, tools, and methodologies,
including visual inspection, dimensional measurement, and functional testing.
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and
technical specifications.
4. Experience using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers,
micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
5. Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), quality standards, and
regulatory requirements.
6. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to
communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
