The key responsibilities and duties of the Electroplater include, but are not limited to:
1. Proven ability to understand and interpret process standard practices, drawings and Company Job cards
2. Previous experience to undertake Material Handling to include workshop Gantry cranes and slings
3. Previous experience in preparation of parts for electroplating (Masking techniques etc.)
4. Previous experience to undertake surface preparation by Grit Blasting techniques would be an advantage but not essential
5. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in a range of the following electroplating processes Cadmium Plate and Dalic Cadmium plateNickel platingHard Chrome platingAlocromNital etch (Acid Etch inspection)Heat Treatment of components
6. Responsible to complete work in line with technical instructions and to the correct quality standards
7. A good understanding of environmental issues associated with Electroplating Industry
8. Previous Knowledge of information related to the COMAH would be an advantage although training will be given to the successful candidate
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
9. Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
10. Related training by the IMF would be an advantage but not essential
11. To have worked within a Plating shop environment
12. Have a basic understanding of Processes and procedures associated with Electroplating
13. Experience of working in a EASA 145 environment
14. A strong team player
15. Able to communicate with all levels of Management
16. Willingness to learn new skills to help the Company achieve its targets
17. Must have a moderate level of PC literacy
18. Working Conditions Factory shop floor, based in HayesFull time role, 4 on 4 off shiftPotential travel required
19. Mandatory Training will be required
