A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NIGHTS MANAGER AT DOUBLETEE BY HILTON EDINBURGH CITY CENTRE What you'll be doing Reporting to the Front Office Manager, your key responsibilities will be performing management operational duties on a day-to-day basis within the hotel, in line with company policy and brand standards. You will assist in maximising all areas of profitability, through increased revenue generation and productivity to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction in the hotel. You will be responsible for ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met for each department. You will also be responsible for managing and motivating the hotel team, ensuring that all colleagues are adequately trained to brand standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, colleagues, and the hotel through-out the night. You will oversee the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands-on role managing the guest expectations and ensuring the standards of the brand are maintained. Ensuring the minimum of 3 security checks at regular intervals with emphasis on security, and fire safety Liaising with guests and residents in the hotel, dealing with any problems and resolving complaints in a courteous and professional manner Responsible for the Night Audits and closing the day's business WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements To succeed in the role of Nights Manageryou will need the following qualities and skills: Experience and knowledge of OnQ or a Front Office system preferred Excellent communication skills with a confident manner Good team player with a flexible approach Highly motivated, dedicated and reliable Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred Having these core skills will put you one step further to joining Axiom Hospitality and DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre.
