Project Engineer – Automotive Lighting
Buckingham (Hybrid – 2 days WFH)
Some engineers design things. Others make sure those things actually happen. You’ll be the second @type.
This company builds high-end automotive lighting for some of the world’s most prestigious car brands. If you’ve ever admired the sleek headlights of a premium car and wondered who made them a reality, well, here’s your answer.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll be making sure these lighting projects go from concept to production without delays, budget nightmares, or unnecessary drama. You’ll be the one keeping things on track—working with designers, engineers, suppliers, and customers to make sure everything runs smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
Taking ownership of project engineering from start to finish.
Keeping projects on time, on budget, and up to spec.
Managing engineering changes without losing your mind.
Reporting progress, risks, and KPIs (because numbers matter).
Supporting the Project Manager and, in some cases, running smaller projects yourself.
Attending customer meetings and site visits—sometimes in person, sometimes virtually.
Making sure every part of the process follows company standards (aka stopping chaos before it starts).
What you’ll need:
Previous experience as a Project Engineer in an automotive Tier 1 environment (or similar).
A degree in a technical subject.
An interest in project management (and some experience in it).
Confidence with Microsoft Project (or at least the ability to figure it out).
The ability to communicate clearly without corporate waffle.
The Perks:
Hybrid working – 2 days a week from home.
Career development – opportunities to grow into project management.
Work with premium car brands.
State-of-the-art facilities – cutting-edge design, development, and testing.
A company that actually values engineering.
If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, make an impact, and develop your career, hit apply.
