Assistant Retail Manager – Tadpole Garden Village
We are recruiting for an assistant retail manager for our very popular shop in Tadpole Garden Village. Are you passionate about charity retail, with a creative flair for fashion and want to use your skills to make a real difference to your local community?
At Prospect Hospice, we provide vital end of life care to patients living with a life limiting illness. We also support their families and loved ones through their difficult journeys. Our shops are at the heart of the charity and our community, raising vital funds and increasing public awareness of the incredible work we do.
Hours: 15 hours per week (two days a week, which will include working weekends and some bank holidays)
What is the role?
As Assistant Manager you will work alongside and support the shop manager to provide an outstanding customer experience for the local community. You will play a pivotal role in driving sales and managing staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate as part of the overall shop team, managing volunteer resources to ensure the shop operates smoothly and efficiently
Motivate staff and volunteers and engage with the local community
Work to achieve agreed sales targets and maximise income generation
Deliver a high standard of presentation of the store’s windows and shop floor
Contribute to the development of new promotions and other improvements to retail practice
Undertake daily till duties, safe reconciliation and banking
Provide cover for the shop manager during periods of holiday and sickness
We proudly have 18 shops in Swindon, Marlborough and Pewsey. You will need to hold a full driving licence and be flexible to cover other shops in our catchment area when needed.
