Cardiff Councils Supported Accommodation Service provides accommodation, advice and support to vulnerable single people in housing need.
Our services run 24/7, 365 days a year and due to recent changes our service has expanded to meet the needs of the people accessing our provision.
About the job
We are recruiting a temporary position to cover a short-term partnership with hotel accommodation. The successful candidate will be required to undertake shifts work on a rota pattern which include bank holidays and weekends.
The Night Supported Accommodation Officer will be responsible for taking an active part in the provision and management of the Council’s accommodation at specified young persons' hostels and temporary accommodation services, during nighttime hours.
The post will form part of a team who are responsible for all aspects of managing a supported accommodation unit including building management, housing management, day-to-day running of the service and engaging with residents.

This is an exciting opportunity, and we are looking for a variety of people from various working backgrounds to make a real difference. Proven experience of working with people with complex behaviours and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless individuals will be an advantage.
The working environment can be challenging so the ability to remain calm under pressure will be an advantage. The role will require the successful candidate to support the management team with all aspects of the service.
