Cardiff Councils Supported Accommodation Service provides accommodation, advice and support to vulnerable single people in housing need.
Our services run 24/7, 365 days a year and due to recent changes our service has expanded to meet the needs of the people accessing our provision.
About the job
We are recruiting for a number of posts within our Complex Needs Service. Successful candidates will be required to undertake 3 shifts per week (8am-8pm) on a rolling rota pattern which includes bank holidays and weekends.
The Supported Accommodation Officer role is an exciting opportunity for those committed to delivering accommodation provision to single people. The post will form part of a team responsible for all aspects of managing a supported accommodation unit, including building management, housing management, day-to-day running of the service, and engaging with residents.
What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for dynamic, motivated, and creative individuals with the ability to foster positive relationships. Proven experience of working with people with complex behaviours and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless individuals will be an advantage.
The working environment can be challenging, so the ability to remain calm under pressure will be beneficial. The role will require the successful candidate to support the management team with all aspects of the service.
