Join our team as a Maintenance Electrician HV/LV in Clitheroe, UK, and play a key role in maintaining and repairing plant equipment, installations, and buildings. Your expertise in fault analysis, repairs, and maintenance will help improve operational reliability and reduce downtime.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform maintenance & repairs according to the operational plan/budget.
2. Enhance plant & machinery reliability at optimal costs.
3. Identify & analyze faults for quick resolution.
4. Ensure compliance with site standards & safety regulations.
Carry out maintenance and repair operations to improve operational reliability and availability of plant and machinery, following the site’s standards.
Provide electrical repair, maintenance skills including fault analysis and identification for repairs, improvements, and inspections.
LV/HV Installations:
* Design, install, and test according to IEE 16th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Perform fault level analysis and specify fuse sizes, feeder overcurrent, and transformer residual earth fault protection.
* Work with HV and LV switchgear, cables, and transformer systems for inspection and testing.
Drive Installations:
* Install AC/DC motors, understanding operational parameters and duty types.
* Work with slip ring and squirrel cage induction motors, including soft start systems.
* Inspect and repair variable speed drive technologies.
* Understand motor vibration for roller and sleeve bearing systems.
Instrumentation Systems:
* Knowledge of process instrumentation and calibration, e.g., load cells, level control devices, gas analyzers, PID controllers.
Control and Safety Systems:
* Understand The Provision Use Works Equipment Regulations (1992).
* Work with safety-critical control systems and interlocks.
* Program and troubleshoot PLC systems where applicable.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Assist in developing spare parts strategies.
* Attend various shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
* Support investment and improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
* Comply with company IMS procedures and liaise with supervisors on technical and safety issues.
Qualifications:
* Time-served Electrician with City & Guilds Electrical qualifications and relevant NVQ.
* Trained in HV/LV systems.
* Qualifications: City & Guilds, ONC, HNC, HND.
