Job Title: Finance Assistant Reports To: Management Accountant and Group Financial Controller Purpose of the Finance Assistant Supporting the Finance Department on all financial and accounting tasks for Bluefield Services Ltd and Bluefield LLP. Required Qualifications, Skills and experience : Bookkeeping experience (experience with Xero essential). AAT qualification or studying towards. Significant experience of raising invoices and setting up payments. Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a wider team. Capable of handling and switching between multiple work streams. Proficient in Excel and Word. Comfortable working to tight deadlines. Experience in implementing Accounts Payable control processes. Duties and Responsibilities: Processing transactions including purchase ledger, sales ledger and the nominal ledger. Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and cash reconciliations for internal businesses. Credit Control. Supplier payment runs. Preparation of VAT returns. Ad hoc reconciliations of data as required Interactions within the Bluefield Group Communicate as required within the finance team and other departments within the Bluefield Group Attend team meetings, company meetings, handover meetings and appraisals as required. Job location Bristol Central. Hybrid working available. Tuesdays – Thursdays need to be office based. Hours of work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:00 and 17:30.
