Process Engineer - Plymouth - Medical Device
We are currently hiring for our client, who is a global and industry leader in the Medical Device sector. For this role, you will master production technology and maintenance, as well as investigate and resolve production losses (breakdowns, waste, speed issues). You will also be implementing basic maintenance for assigned product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Line Performance: 4-block updates, LSA initiatives, bottleneck and KPI actions.
* Data Analysis: Drive shift focus using data from MES, PAB, and VOA.
* Continuous Improvement: Poke yoke, quality improvements, waste reduction, CI projects.
* Problem Solving: Resolve repeat losses, root cause analysis, systematic problem-solving.
* Maintenance: Improve standards, support breakdowns, reliability input.
* Safety: Drive safety initiatives and improvements.
* Communication: Attend meetings, provide engineering status, agree resources.
* Coaching: Guide teams on continuous improvement methodologies.
About You:
* Qualifications: HNC/Degree in Engineering/Mechatronics or similar.
* Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing, with a focus on high-speed automation.
* Skills: Team player and team building, independent thinking and problem-solving, troubleshooting and high-pressure handling, safety and ergonomics knowledge, quality systems understanding, PLC experience (preferred).
