Job Title: Mental Health Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education is seeking dedicated Mental Health Learning Support Assistants to join our team, working in SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and SEN (Special Educational Needs) settings based in Bradford. Our schools cater to young people aged 11-19 who have significant SEMH needs and may have been excluded from mainstream education. We are looking for individuals with experience in supporting students with challenging behaviour, either in education or care settings.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (some schools may differ)
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or in alternative provision settings such as PRUs.
* A resilient, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with complex needs.
* Strong communication and de-escalation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and external agencies.
* The ability to respond effectively and calmly to challenging situations.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
