A&P Falmouth- Pipefitter
Home to one of the world's largest natural deep-water harbours, A&P Falmouth's facility is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK.
We are looking for Pipefitters to join our busy and talented team on a full-time, permanent basis. If you have previous experience as a Pipefitter and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced setting we'd love to hear from you.
So, what will you do?
* Install, repair and maintain piping systems onboard skips according to engineering specifications
* Fabrication and assemble pipes using specialised tools and techniques
* Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure integrity and safety of pipework installations and repair
* Prepare work areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed
* Maintain a safe and organised working environment
And what are we looking for?
* You'll hold a Level 3 apprenticeship in pipefitting or equivalent or will be eager to learn and be trained to our standards of work
* Previous experience in a shipbuilding/marine/heavy industrial environment would be advantageous
* You'll need the ability to understand technical drawings
* You'll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
* You'll be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in your work
* You'll have excellent teamwork and communication skills
