Based in our Acute Hub in Watling Street Practice @ Shenley Church End, this is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and friendly Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will handle enquiries with professionalism and empathy.
This role is for 30 hours per week; from 7am-1pm or 8am-2pm, Monday-Friday.

Job Summary
As a Care Navigator working in Primary Care, you will be the face of the Acute Hub; together with your colleagues you will be supporting our patients, and the clinical teams that care for them.
Providing support for the Duty Doctor with managing patient queries, you will be responsible for making sure patients are dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner.
This role will require some flexibility to cover afternoon shifts when required.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
* Booking appointments for patients with the appropriate medical professional
* Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors
* Assisting patients to complete new registration forms
* Supporting colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly atmosphere
* Assisting with any other administration required

* You have high levels of accuracy and understand the importance of getting information correct at all times.
* You are resilient in the face of difficult situations, offering support and understanding to our patients.
* You will be used to a fast-paced environment with a varied task list and tight deadlines.
* You understand the importance of confidentiality and work efficiently with your colleagues to get the job done.

* Experience working with the public, both face to face and over the telephone
