Main duties of the job As a Payroll Operations Manager, you will lead, co-ordinate and manage the Payroll Team Leaders ensuring the delivery of the organisation's contractual commitments to promised quality/timescales and in line with professional standards, national policy and frameworks. You will work under the direction of the Payroll Client managers and act as operational lead in co-ordinating and planning the work activities and recruitment across the department and undertaking the operational management for tasks to given client groups whilst working to specified timetables. You must have strong communication and organisational skills, alongside a strong knowledge of NHS Payroll and Pension legislation, with a proven track record of leading a large payroll team.
