Are you a registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a rewarding and challenging opportunity within forensic services?
As our Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will have the unique opportunity to work in prisons, specifically at HMP Huntercombe near Henley. This is a male foreign national Category C prison, providing a diverse and unique patient group for you to work with. You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, completing triages, delivering assessments, 1:1 and group interventions, and managing caseloads in a person-centred way.

This role includes an RSU allowance of £1,446 per annum on top of your salary.
Please note if you are based outside of the UK you will need to be fully qualified, have already passed your OSCE, and have an NMC pin number to be considered for this role.
Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
Main duties of the job
* To provide high quality, safe, and effective mental health care and interventions to service users within the prison establishment, including management of self-harm and complex needs.
* Responsible for managing a caseload, triaging, assessing, and delivering evidence-based interventions within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and care programme approach, and input into discharge planning.
* Work as an integral member of the integrated mental health team, providing advice and support to primary health care based within the prison and other prison staff.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners, including partner healthcare providers, prison colleagues, social care providers, and probation services.
* Support the team manager and matron with the expansion of the team.
