Cammach are currently recruiting for a Drilling Engineer to join a leading independent Oil & Gas operator, based in Aberdeen. Part of the team planning and executing a 4+ year drilling campaign on a UK platform.
Initial contract duration would be for 12-month period with extension on annual basis align with the campaign.
Agency Worker / PAYE (excellent day rates and generous holiday entitlement).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design a well or working from designs, create a well programme in compliance with the Company Management System by analysing offset data, generating and evaluating design options using Landmark suite of software, assessing risk, preparing detailed design and programme documents.
2. Preparing Examination and Notification / Consent applications.
3. Preparing time and cost estimates and assisting with cost tracking during well operations.
4. Procuring services, equipment and materials and coordinating suppliers and service providers for drilling, completing or working over the well.
5. Provide technical support for the pre-contract invitation to tender and tender evaluation processes.
6. Prepare procurement documentation for the recommendation of specific services, equipment and personnel.
7. Prepare and present well design reviews for conception design, BOD and DWOP.
8. Prepare and present risk assessments.
9. Compile weekly summary of well operations for UK HSE.
10. Compile End of Well report.
11. Supports well delivery efficiency with benchmarking and performance analysis.
12. Occasional offshore visits to support well operations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
1. Well design and planning of P&A activities.
2. Experienced user in Landmark well planning software package.
3. Operational experience of slot recovery / P&A operations especially section milling, remedial cementing to establish annular barriers and casing recovery.
4. ERD design and practices, including casing floatation.
5. Complex well paths and managing anti-collision on a congestion well pattern for a mature field UK platform wells operation.
6. UK regulatory regime.
7. Current IWCF Level Well Control and UK Medical and Survival.
