Job Description
1. Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards from source documents/records to final accounts for review by the appropriate manager.
2. Prepare accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements.
3. Effectively manage time to ensure that jobs are finished within budget.
4. Develop and maintain good client relations.
5. Liaise with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information.
6. Make timely and relevant recommendations in relation to accounting matters, financial reporting and accounting systems in use (including software).
7. Assistance with bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
8. Prepare control account reconciliations and other month-end procedures.
9. Prepare quarterly management accounts for onward submission to clients.
The Successful Applicant
With at least 2 years of practice experience, you may hold the AAT qualification or be studying towards the ACA / ACCA qualification. Your experience to date will be in a similar role that has exposed you to clients and multiple accountancy software.
