We are the Customer Data Team and our focus is to ensure the Society holds high quality data about its customers. Through an understanding of the customer data, it’s lineage and structures and using robust analytical skills, you will identify trends and opportunities for improving overall quality.

We need to ensure that customer data is implicit in everything we do, we are helping create better customer experiences and outcomes by improving the quality of the Society’s most valuable asset, customer data.
We’re working to improve the way the Society handles customer data to protect our customers and maintain their trust in us. To have the right governance, control and understanding, we require an experienced data analyst to create insights that support the end-to-end processes we are responsible for, proactively highlight data issue and problem resolution, as part of our function.

What you’ll be doing
From a day to day and task perspective, you'll be working across the team, focusing on delivering shared outcomes linked to end-to-end process ownership and customer data domain ownership and bringing your insight and programming skills as part of a multi-skilled team.
You'll be supporting the team to help grow collective capability in your core area of expertise. You'll reinforce a culture of treating data as an asset and supporting BAU, ongoing projects and key deliveries.
You’ll be focused on creating insight, solution design and delivery, ensuring our business needs are met and bringing your knowledge and experience to exceed those expectations. Working as part of a team, you’ll be the first point of contact for providing support and guidance to other team members or colleagues who are learning about the value of using data visualisation to generate insights.
This could mean you apply your skills to support creating BI solutions and using SAS/SQL for data analysis to support any developments and changes as well as resolution of operational issues. You'll also have the opportunity to learn and apply skills outside of your core discipline of data analysis, getting involved in business analysis, engineering of data and visualising data.
About you
* SQL expertise
* Knowledge of migrating insights and dashboards from other tools i.e. Qlik Sense to Power BI
* Experience of working in a fast-paced reporting role with tight deadlines and developing high quality insight dashboards
* Ability to provide subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex data findings into insightful and actionable dashboards
* Be curious, innovative, creative and agile, developing and championing new ideas, spotting opportunities, and learning fast along the way
* Self-starter, able to prioritise and have can-do attitude to work independently or with others to solve problems
* Have previous experience in a regulated/financial organization
