Have you always considered yourself someone with a keen eye for detail, or maybe you really love burying yourself in a spreadsheet and getting into the nitty gritty of invoice models?
We're looking for someone who understands how important it is that workers get paid on time and invoices go out not only quickly, but also correctly. We aren't a big team, but the work that you'll be doing is complex; there are rather a lot of online portals, pay models, and invoice models that our clients use, so you'll need to be comfortable with juggling that. There are also times where you'll need to chase up companies and build relationships with their payroll and credit control teams, so being comfortable with picking up the phone to our clients is a must.
You don't need a huge amount of experience (2 years experience in an accounts environment would be great though) as attitude and a willingness to learn on the job is much more important. That being said, you will need to be at least part qualified AAT, ACCA, or CIMA. You'll also need a car to get to our office as it's in the (very beautiful) Worcestershire countryside; you certainly won't be fighting anyone for the last car parking spot as we've got free onsite parking.
You will need to be available to work Tuesdays and Thursdays as those are the days we have our payroll runs. Other than that, the other days are flexible; we've got at least 10 hours (though probably a bit more in the beginning) that can be split over as many other days as you like. The hourly rate is £16.60, and as well as the usual company pension and holidays, you'll have a great cashback healthcare plan.
Our interview process will be two stages: the first will be a 30-minute telephone interview with our company director, and if that goes well, then you'll be invited in for an hour-long face-to-face interview with them.
We work in recruitment, so we understand how important it is to get an offer out quickly. If you're successful in the interview, then you can expect an offer in front of you by the next day.
