About the role: They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. In this role, you will: Cost Control & Financial Management Develop and implement strategies to optimize project profitability. Oversee business planning and ensure financial outcomes are maximized. Integrate new accounting systems (Xero & Eque2) and prepare financial reports and forecasts. Procurement Management Collaborate with accounts and buying departments to align with procurement strategies. Maintain a subcontractor database and enhance procurement processes. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors. Contract Administration Maintain a register of contracts and warranty obligations. Review contract terms and ensure compliance with JCT protocols and PO/sub-contract terms. Ensure proper documentation before project commencement. Design & Project Coordination Manage design services, including Revit and BIM, ensuring efficient project delivery. Coordinate project stages and collaborate with architects and engineers. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulations. Identify and manage commercial risks and advise on dispute resolution. C Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary contact for clients, fostering strong relationships. Communicate with the Operations team to ensure alignment on project performance. About the benefits and rewards: The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £70,000-£85,000 per year, dependent on experience. In addition to the basic salary, there will be benefits including: • Employee pension scheme • Central office location with excellent transport links • Modern offices • 24 days holiday plus bank holidays About the requirements: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. 5-10 years of proven experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration. Excellent communication, negotiation, and risk management skills. Familiarity with legal frameworks, JCT contracts, and tendering processes. Proficiency in design tools such as Revit and BIM. Experience with financial systems such as Xero and Eque2 is a plus. Strong analytical skills. Willingness to travel to project sites
