Your Mission:
As the SEN English Teacher, you will craft and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that challenge and support their students to reach their full potential. You'll lead a classroom with creativity and passion, guiding Teaching Assistants and playing a vital role in their professional growth. Upholding the school's policies on safeguarding and equality, you'll also monitor and promote the well-being and personal care of their students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Delivery: Implement and deliver the curriculum as per their schemes of work, ensuring all students can engage and succeed.
* Lesson Planning: Design stimulating and well-structured lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and communication needs.
* Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Teacher and leadership team to embody and promote the school's vision, ethos, and objectives.
* Teaching Excellence: Drive effective teaching and learning, setting high standards and benchmarks for student achievement and well-being.
* Performance Management: Continuously evaluate and improve classroom practices, addressing underperformance and implementing effective strategies.
* Team Building: Assist in recruiting and retaining top talent, providing thorough induction for new team members.
* Community Partnership: Collaborate with staff, parents, carers, and external agencies to support the comprehensive well-being of students and their families.
* Versatility: Be prepared to adapt and lend a hand wherever needed, ensuring the smooth operation of our school.

* Qualified Teacher Status: Essential
* SEN Experience: Preferable experience with KS3 and KS4 curriculum and examinations, especially for students with ASD and SEMH.
* Safeguarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
