Join our Programme Management Office (PMO) Team
Based at King’s Court Council Office, Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
Our Programme Management Office (PMO) team is expanding to help the Council deliver well managed projects and programmes for the borough. We have two new opportunities available for you to join our team; to be part of and to drive forward an exciting period of change for us as a Council and for the borough.
PMO Officer
Starting salary up to £42528 per annum
Working with the PMO Manager we need you to develop, install and embed project and programme management systems to establish the council’s programme management framework to deliver projects and programmes. You will drive continuous improvement and develop processes to monitor and ensure that agreed standards are consistently applied for programme and project management across the organisation. You will also produce high quality, timely and useful information for programme boards, Executive Directors, Assistant Directors and elected members.
Educated to A level standard of education (or equivalent), you will have substantial experience working in a busy office environment at a senior level, including working with senior managers and elected members. You will have experience in a project related field with a working knowledge of project management processes, an understanding of local government procedures and the key issues facing local government. You will have strong communication skills, including confident presentation of advice to colleagues and reporting writing for senior managers. You will be able to apply a logical, solution based and analytical approach with excellent time management and organisation skills to tight deadlines.
PMO Coordinator
Starting salary up to £32571 per annum
We need you to help support the council’s programme of projects, by providing a wide range of project and programme management co-ordination. You will provide high quality administrative support and coordination for the PMO function including ensuring all required meetings are scheduled, preparing and compiling reporting packs, management of programme control documents and tracking and updating actions. You will also provide administration for the Executive Director, Place, and the Assistant Directors within the Place Directorate as needed.
You will have previous experience of working in a busy office environment and of minute taking and agenda preparation. You will have an understanding of project management steps and processes and be able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. You will have experience of providing effective support to managers including diary management together with good communication skills and efficient organisational skills.
